Hi, I'm planning to buy and fit in a second-handed kitchen and do some other improvements for my new house. Does anyone know any good websites/blogs about home DIY? Ideally beginners-friendly, this is my first home I'm trying to save some money on renovation.

Forums for professionals (builders, tilers etc) are worth hanging out on our dropping by for tips. There you can get a better idea which of the YouTube videos are worth watching and which are essentially created by bodgers.

the Collins DIY manual is awesome.
has everything in it from hanging paper to wiring consumer units.

can usually get this in charity shops for next to nothing.

search 'ultimate handyman' on youtube. Best stuff I've come across. He hasn't done a kitchen but if your planning on doing the bathroom he's got plenty of short vids there.
