We've decided the time has finally arrived for us to get married but don't know where to start. We don't want all of the fuss and stress of a big ceremony. My OH would prefer to get away on our own (with the three kids) and combine our wedding with a family holiday. Can anyone offer any inspiration please?

First decide where you'd like your family holiday to be and then search on that destination for a wedding planner

We're getting married om July 2nd in Zante, this is combining the wedding with a family holiday

The wedding planner is costing 1000 euros, plus we have to pay for the paper work to be in order at this end, approx £250 extra

I know our wedding planner is going to be at the NEC wedding show around the middle of March so I'm sure others will be there too - might be worth a visit if your close enough

Good luck and congratulations

Thanks Mijooly. We simply can't make up our minds - to the point where i'm thinking it might be easier just to book the next available date at the local registry office. My OH likes the idea of Hawaii but i'm worried it will be too far to take 3 kids under 8yrs old and problematic if any relatives decide on coming. Are you taking any other family members? How did you book?

go to florida - its $125 for the licence and the ceremony at the Court House then you can have a brilliant holiday with the kids, they will even send you all the forms and you can get married within 1 hr of landing

2 years ago we got married in turkey a small village called sarigerme with our 4 children with us. It was a first choice weddingf package which was brilliant although we didnt have to organise anything we were still involved the kids had a brilliant time.
Quite a few people turned their noses up when we said we were getting married in Turkey but i can honestly say i wouldnt change a thing. The hotel is pegasus pallace through first choice my wedding co-ordinator sebenham was great she thought of everything. I took my own wedding dress and bridesmaids they did my hair, makeup, nails and beautiful fresh flowers. The photographs the photographer took are gorgeous and hardly cost anything compared to the uk

We have been to Zante a few times and love it, so it was an easy choice for us

Whilst over there last sept we arranged to meet the wedding planner. She will be doing everything for us over there and sorting all the paperwork out. She has an associate in the UK that sorts out all the paperwork over here

We have a few people coming - parents and close family. Bridesmaids are sorted - the children!!

I can't wait!!

Go through Virgin weddings.

We got our actual wedding free if staying for 2 weeks in the same resort. It was lovely !!
