Hi All,

Myself and my partner just got engaged this weekend and we are now in the throes of sorting out all the bits and bobs for the wedding.

I'd appreciate any tips on where to get the best deals for anything from napkins through to holidays etc!!

Cheers all

Congratulations guys!
We got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Wyndham Rose Hall Resort. The hotel was amazing, even had its own beach and waterpark. There were abot 6 restaurants and bars all in the resort and the food was incredible. We booked through Virgin and I must say we couldn't fault them. It cost around £2500 All Inclusive for 2 weeks, flights from Manchester. That price also included our wedding package! And we went swimming with dolphins, climbed a waterfall and visited the Bob Marley museum, he's buried there.
Don't know if you are interested but I do have some bits and bobs to sell like, size 6 BNIB Wedding Shoes in Ivory Satin by Pink Paradox, also got Male Cravat, Waist coat I think (all in cream) and a wediing cake cutting set, might have a few other bits, let me know what you are after.
I found that wedding cakes were around £300-400 for 3 tiers if bought from a cake makers shop. Or you can buy the ready made and iced tiers from places like Marks and Spencers, this worked out at about £75 - 80 for all 3 but then you have to buy the decorations. You can buy icing sugar lillies and roses for a couple of pounds each.
My Grans friend made ours and she only charged me £50 all in and we had 3 tiers with white lillies as decoration.

me and the missus used www.kuoni.co.uk to book our honeymoon. went to Phuket, in southern Thailand. Lovely time, went on safari tour, took a ride on an elephant, went to Koh Phi Phi (the islands where they filmed The Beach) and Khao Ping Kan (where they filmed The Man with the Golden Gun). Also swam with tropical fish, went paragliding etc.etc. We stayed at Cape Panwa Hotel (where DiCaprio stayed filming The Beach) - lovely place, private beach - see it here http://www.capepanwa.com/

Thanks all, appreciate all the comments. The holiday destinations are superb but as we are taking our 6 yr old daughter, we need to ensure that she is kept occupied :) We are angling at a cruise at the moment as we can be sure she is safe.

We have found quite a few other deals around which we shall collate and post on here as there are a lot of savings to be found.

Thanks again, keep them coming
