Hi all

Im looking to take my mrs away for a weekend break in paris on the 23/11/07 for 2 nights. I want to spend no more than 300 for flights and hotel. Ideally from birmingham?

Does anyone know of any good deals or can anyone recommend any good hotels near the eiffel tower.

thanks

Abs:)

Try using priceline you can just go for 5* hotels then 4* hotels etc in the areas you want to stay in. Pretty sure most 3* + hotels are going to be decent. But remember its the same as london the rooms are going to be small regardless of the hotel you choose. Oh and priceline might not include breakfast which will be expensive at the posher hotels so factor that in or just go out to a cafe for food.

Thought about the eurostar there are often break deals if you can make it down to London that is.

We ( 2 adults left kids at home with Nan ) had 3 nights in a hotel which included breakfast and Eurostar returns, for about £300 that was last Easter and through Lastminute. That maybe better if you can make it down to the Eurostar terminal.
Its easy to travel round Paris, and their metro/rer is better than the tube here I think,we spent 4 days hopping on and off all over so consider staying in 1 not so central if cheaper as their public transport was good the days we were there.

The hotel was fine, its about the same as the Travelodges are heres, its not flash but its not a dump.It was clean, and we only there to sleep nothing else.
I'm not sure how far the airport is away,as we went by Eurostar and made our way round to the hotel by travelling a bit.
You can search on lastminute.com by putting in times you would like to leave by.
Here is another site which shows the hotel,it says on 23rd you can stay for 2 nights for 105 Euros.

you may find it working out cheaper to book the flights seperately and then the hotel on top.

i've just recently came back from paris and stayed in the Hotel Eiffel Park. It is a 5 minute walk to the eiffel tower. The hotel was lovely, really friendly, comfortable, bath n shower. If your prepared to travel on the underground it is ideal. Not too far from the champs ellysee too. Was great would recommend.
