10k on each ??

Not meaning to sound rude, but are you male or female ?

Female - then 10k will be more than enough

Male - 10k will be too light after a short period of time.

Argos always have decent starter dumb bells, thats how I started out :D

I bought some Reebok dumbells a couple of years back from Argos and they're still ok for working on 'the guns'. Very small guns may I add.

if you want a total of 20kg, why not just skip and get a curlbell where you can add more weight when the time comes, obviously you're restricted to one excercise but at least you can develop your muscles further than you could with dumbells.

Worth noting Argos do a cheaper 50kg set too, vinyl coated

when i ordered my 'bells i used a catalogue - such as litlewoods,lx direct etc

i used a few codes to get things like £20 off first order and free delivery

the 20 off made the cost around the same as the highstreet - but it was the free delivery that was a godsend

bear it in mind

Spin locks will be metal.

The only thing with the curlbar is that it does my back in !! I've been going the gym for years & can't use the curlbar to do biceps as my back aches for days.....

My weights are the same as those in the picture except mine are gold and my locks are red plastic, they do look plastic to me in the pic

The spinlocks are plastic from argos... do not buy the vinyl ones.

Go straight to the metal ones sure they cost a bit more but those vinyl ones are crap trust me.
