Argos are not unique in BNPL. Do yourself a favour and go to Richer Sounds - you can see a decent range of TV's in use, get decent advice and BNPL.
Personally I would be looking Sony or Panasonic but I wouldn't know exact models.

what is your budget?

I am currently tossing and turning between 2 Samsung's UE40KU6000 and the UE40KU6400. Both 40 inch though, 4k and HDR.

Both are available via JL but the 6000 is also available via Argos

Other one is the Hisense 43m3000 which is available on Argos, it is 43 inch but I am wary of this as never had experience with Hisense

I will pop into RicherSounds and see. However Sony TV I dislike. They have issues playing movies from USB (stops randomly) and doesn't support subtitles. LG/SAMSUNG no problems (more optimised support).

However I will go SAMSUNG route, leader in terms of display (heck even SONY uses their panels).

MY budget is around £480 max. I've been looking at the Samsung UE40KU6000 myself too. I've read really good reviews about it and that people like it with regards to gaming side.

I have a similar budget and have just purchased this tv from John lewis with 5 yr guarantee. It seemed like a decent deal.

It has 8 bit hdr (not true 100% hdr but you won't get this unless you pay over 800 quid and get a bigger tv really so not bothered) and 4k.

I would have preferred bigger screen but couldn't see a decent spec tv with 4k hdr in that price range.

I would try richer sounds as stated, it offers buy now pay later and offers 6 yr guarantee. I know it's not high street like argos but I believe they also deliver to your house and there is the security of guarantee if anything goes wrong.

Ao have 10% off Sony 4K leaving a 43" 800hz £476 & 49" £539 use code SONY10

Currys have 5 year guarantee but are 20% ish more expensive

Sony TVs have the benefit of adding kodi directly into tv, much more user friendly than fire stick etc

Sony TV's suffer from high input lag especially in 4K HDR. That's gaming out the window yet they talked about 4K HDR on PS4 Pro but their TV's don't live up to that LOL
