I have to buy 350 mince pies for the school Christmas fair. I am not keen on them so I coulnd't say which were good. Can anyone recommend a brand of delicious mince pie, at a good price?

Thanks!

It's our treat back to the parents. They have already done cakes for cake stall, and donated for chocolate and bottle tombolas and bought hundreds of raffle tickets! That's why I don't just want to buy the cheapest pies, unless of course they are the tastiest.

I have seen a couple of offers on here, and it seems as soon as someone posts a good deal, other people comment on a better pie! I would a few responses and I will go with the majority.

What about asking a local bakers to help....they will be glad of the business and maybe do you a deal, and plus probably much nicer than a pre packed supermarket brand

no more "buy one get one free" etc deals people...give this user a total price and location...would be much easier for them

I was watching 'This morning' the other day - they were tasting mince pies from the different supermarkets, LIDL won and morrisons came 2nd, cant remember price but i think the lidl ones were slightly more expensive. Personally i think they're awful.

Lidl mince pies are lovely.............I think they're £1.49 for 12, and they look good too with 2 holly sprigs on top.
Excellent value I would say !!

Fantastic idea - you should at least go and ask. And no having ooodles of packaging like supermarkets you might find their price surprisingly competitive.
