Hello, I'm looking to buy a LCD at least 37 inch. I've been looking around where does the best prices, digitaldirect seems the best for value right now.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other sights that are better than here?

Thanks in advance

The best thing you can do is to look around and work out which model your after. No one site will offer the best p;rice on all sets, it is a case of scouring around to find the best price. I just bought a Pioneer 37" with 5 Year warranty yesterday from Richer Sounds, they price matched TLC Broadcast http://www.tlcbroadcast.co.uk/37inch-full-kuro-with-free-5year-warranty-p-340.html.

Your best bet is if your looking for a good price on a specific LCD/Plasma is to let people know on this site and you may find someone will reply with a deal they have seen.

I would highly recommend Richer Sounds for price & customer service + probably the best value (not hidden in a high price and given as free) 5 year warrenty (10% of purchase price!)

Thanks guys. Is the 5 year richer sounds warranty for online as wellas instore?

The ponly problem i have with RS is that it seems to be mainly collection only

The 5 Year Warranty is 10% of the price of the set but if you can find a competitor who has the set with the warranty included for a lower price they will beat that price and include a Richer Sound 5 Year Warranty - you'll also get cash back according to the price range of the purchase price.

You can add the warranty onine in addition to getting one instore.

You managed to get a PM online! I don't think that's possible as the terms are different to what they have instore!

To get a PM through John Lewis, you would need to visit a store or call your nearest store's customer service centre to arrange for a PM with 'Undersales'!

How do you prove a better price somewhere else to John Lewis?

I want to try and pricematch with them but I'm not sure what you would need to do

what i did was,i phoned my local branch in glasgow and spoke to the operator and told her the deal that was available at currys at the time, she put me on hold maybe for a few mins, then gave me the salesperson that i had to speach to instore and that was it!!deal done.:thumbsup:the reason i bought from JL was the free 5yr warranty and free delivery :whistling:

good luck and let us all know how it goes

To get a PM from John Lewis, you will need to make sure that the offer you have seen is from a 'brick and mortar' retailer that has the item in stock and on display with the offer price affixed. John Lewis will get someone to check the competitors details by visiting the store to ensure that the offer is available and will get back to you. This is done through the store's Undersales department.

Your best bet is not to email a store as it can take some time or just get lost! I would either go instore to get an Undersale or speak directly to Undersales so they can get back to you. If you take the last option, take their details down so you can chase them down! Any further proof of the deal you have is work keeping in case your PM is turned down,.

Gooid luck

Thanks foir the advice hitman. Just one more question, if I want JL to PM against a website would I just have to give them the address of the retailer online?
