We made tree decorations last year and our own crackers, the pound shops are great for craft bits and pieces.

These are brilliant, I think I'll have a go at these with my boys. We decorated our tree with all the decorations they had made over the years at school. It is more like a memory tree.

salt dough tree ornaments. we give them to the grandparents as gifts.

Christmas lanterns - fold A4 card (or whatever your size preference is) made from just cutting along slits and making a handle. Really simple but super exciting for kids - my class love them.

I just bought a pack of 6 wooden shapes from Poundland - their craft stuff is so much better this year! Planning on getting the kids to decorate for presents. They're only 4 and 2 so can't imagine they would look like much, hopefully their attention span will be long enough X)

These looked quite good for the price! Thin wood but there was a present shape, 1 reindeer and 1 other, think there was 2 of each in the pack :)

Paper plate wreaths, paper plate angels, paper plate robins, paper plate snowmen (anyone see a theme here :p) , hand print Christmas trees, decorating Aldi's plain baubles with hand prints and fingerprints, "Santa stop here" door hangers, sticking gems on hand drawn baubles, cutting out pictures from the toy catalogues to make present collages .... one week left to go before I shut up shop and try to get the glitter out of my carpets X)
