Hi there
I am looking for to buy a car and i want to check if it has been stolen or if it has been declared total loss from an insurance previously. I know there is a Text that you can send to mytextcheck or anything like that but they charge you about £.00. Does anyone know a cheapest way to do it (or even better free!)
Many thanks to everyone

Its all well and good finding the cheapest, personally I'd want the most accurate.

What's a couple of quid when forking out 1000's for a car?

Do they all reporting exactly the same information?

My brother used these useless w$%&ers, they said the cars history was clear, unfortunately the car was repossessed a few months later because a previous owner had outstanding finance on the car.

He now uses the RAC to check vehicle history, £15 but reliable.

Also try a free MOT history check, good for checking mileage and failures etc..
