What phone is good?

Hi all,

It's time for an upgrade on my phone. I just need to find out what is good in the market at the moment? I currently have N95, on Orange.

There are million of phones out there and I wanted some suggestions.

Maybe someone could help me?

I need to be on Orange Network, I m not worried about the cost (As I can negotiate, as Orange Premium customer), just what is nice in the market.

Many thanks!

You could upgrade to the N95 8GB if you wanted to stay with what you know? Also if you hang on for another few weeks then the rumour is that the 3g iPhone is coming out and that may be of interest to you? (assuming that the rumours of iPhone on all networks is true)

What sort of things do you want your phone to do, aside from call and text of course! :-) Photo's? Internet? email?

Dear Stelph, thanks for reply.
I already got a N95, so I assume N95 8GB will be about/exactly the same ?
General day to day phone, maybe a new model of Nokia, or maybe a cool design from Sony / LG / Samsung.
Didnt I hear about some problems for someone using the iphone sometimes ago? or is it rumour?

'd get an N82 at the moment but don't have the cash! :)

The N95 8GB is essentially the same, except its black, the battery is better, the screen is bigger, programs work a bit quicker and obviously there is more memory. A review is below with comparison pictures

Not sure what you mean about problems with the iPhone, everyone I know who has one loves it! The only downside currently being its only on o2 (unless jailbroken) and its not 3G so internet isnt as quick as it can be, however it is very stable software and there are going to be loads of cool programs released for it soon that youll be able to buy through itunes, its apparently out in a few weeks so may be worth a look.

Actuall, another question you may want to ask yourself (and also test in a shop) is do you want a touchscreen or physical buttons. Currently the market is moving towards touchscreens but then some people dont get on with them as well as having physical buttons to press, so id give it a try

Ive got the N82 and its a fantastic handset and will do at least everything the N95 does as it retains the symbian 60 operating system, camera is really great quality also.

Orange have the black version exclusive to them which looks quite smart, you might be lucky enuff to get it free on a resign.

The problem I have with N95 is that it crashes, or it runs like a windows (it gets slower and slower as they age) - does anyone has this problem?
I do like the look of N82, is this the latest N series ?
Many thanks

I heard about Touch Screen, one hold back is that I think they scratch easy ?
After all I have zero experience on this topic.

Ive had no problem with the N82 operating system running slow or crashing.

Ive had it from March was firstly on o2 but the 3g coverage was rubbish so its now got a 3 sim card in it and works very well.

I think the N82 is the newest S60 N series phone until the N96 comes along

if you upgrade they will give you the samsung soul free 12 month contract 25 a month for what uv got now m8
#12
Is the Samsung Soul a better version?
Everytime when I upgrade I will only tell them 12 months only. It seems to work as I managed to get my way to what I wanted.

Are you a person would likes the look of your phone or the look of your phonebill?!
You can get some great deals on some sites where your bills are amazingly cheap.
#15
Bills reduction would be good (mine's like £120+ every month)
As an upgrade hopefully I will get some cheap deals and I aint any good at finding it!

Best phone on the market at the minute is the LG Secret.

Semi touch screen, tempered glass (scratch resistant) & carbon fibre backing.
