What is this plant and is it good for 'cleaning' the air?

I'm trying to 'clean' the air in my bedroom and read that Mothers in Law tongue/Snake plants are good for this. I have found a Sansevieria on Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/decoration/pla…

I don't know anything about plants but assume this isn't the above but Sanseveria cylindrica?
Does this still have air cleaning properties?

At the rate you pollute you would need a forest so try an air purifier
