What should I get her????

It's mine and the Missus 8 year wedding anniversary at the weekend, and as usual I've left it a bit late. I'm clueless as to what to get her. I've got about £100 to spend on her if need be.
I can't get her skimpy underwaer as she dropped the sprog 9 weeks ago and she ain't happy with her bod, so thats out. Flowers are predicatable but still nice, althou I wouldn't order from interflora again.

Any ideas???

I just bought her the pink e900 the other day, as I knicked her K750i. Cheers for the suggestion.

I would suggest you get her something "precious" like a nice pair of gold earrings or a bracelet, something nice that will last forever and she can associate it with the day of the anniversary
#4
A nice bouquet of flowers with a card attached & the hundred quid inside, tell her to buy herself something she would really like....

pamper session at a spa

A make over? :w00t: :giggle:
£100 worth of lottery scratchcards?
Chocolate indulgence trip or summit?

Let us know what you do!

Spa day with a friend? Some peace for you, she's happy too.

Are you guys traditionalist's?? (sp) 8 years is the aniversary where you are meant to give something pottery/bronze

Try something like this

Pottery and bronze would be very hard to look for though they have a few things here

Not really traditional, just chuffed we made it to 8 years, we got married when I was posted abroad. She was 19 I was 20. So we've done OK. Possibly looking at a new watch and some flowers for her, ta for all the suggestions so far.

Goldsmiths have got a cracking sale on at the moment!

I just bought gold and diamond necklace which retails for £300+, for only £108 plus £20 something quid back from Quidco too - bargain!

Maybe look for something with 8 diamonds? Or just something speacial she will enjoy.

good luck!

hi there

Congratulations on the anniversary, and also the new baby - well done :-D

Presuming that the tub of margarine isn't right :whistling: ... what about a framed photo of her and the baby, for starters? or perhaps a voucher for a professional photo session, so that she can have a really nice photo taken?

I had a baby 10 weeks ago, and I know that she's all I can think about, so a present like that would be much appreciated ...

You could perhaps also get her swimming lessons, or massage lessons, for her and the little one?

Or you could get her a pump, so that she can express and get some time 'away', which she might appreciate? Perhaps buy her the pump and a voucher for a pamper, like others have suggested?

Hope this helps - and happy anniversary!

Cheers to all for the suggestions, rep left where appropriate (sp). I quite like the idea of the photos, may look into that although no Olan Mills round my way. Anyone else now of a good photo firm?
Again thanks to all for the suggestions, please keep em coming.

1/3 of a season ticket for the Magpies..if she's a fan...that'll take care of the period before Sam gets the boot!!.LOL..is the avi a picture of you then paddy??

For photos , there's always 'Venture' (they do the trendy pictures, and have a £25 offer on for an hour-long shoot, but you do only get a 5x7 " photo - and to buy more is very expensive).
But you could always take along the 5x7 to a dfferent photo developer, and get them to scan it and blow it up in size at a later date ...

Your best bet might be to ask the photographer who did your wedding photos if he/she could come and do a session ?? (presuming you liked your wedding photos, that is!) ... or perhaps ask your mates if they have a photographer they would recommend from their weddings

She can't stand football, I had to get multi-room just to watch my footy and other sports in another room. Aye that pic is me in me Van.

Some good ideas there, quite like that one Dino, but I quite like the idea of a decent photo. Will let you all know what I decide as I ain't got much time!

hi
how about taking her to a nice restuarant and presenting her with an eternaty ring - as though it were a proposal again. depending where your first date was or where you proposed origanally they would be good places too.
#21
oooohhh .... I like that one!
especially as she has just presented paddy with a child - now's an excellent time for an eternity ring

Being the romantic I am, I proposed drunk on the phone whilst in Bosnia. Eternity ring, hmmm quite like that one too.

Cheers
#23
Get her both, then!
A Venture photo session will cost £25, which leaves you £75 for an eternity ring ... bets of both worlds !

I'm dying to know what you decide to get her, in the end !!

Even more incentive to do it 'properly' then. Shes probably feeling a little down after having the baby, and something like that will make her feel extra special.

Let us know....... I have to keep coming back here to see what your gonna get - lol

I ordered the photo session, some big bouquet of flowers taking her for a meal and looking at a ring

Sounds fab,
have a great time, and I bet she's going to be shocked you made such a great effort, well done.

Just be careful :)

If you go overboard for the 8th, just be sure you have a budget for the 10th and one hell of an imagieation for everything afterwards... that's the voice of bittersweet experience ;-)

Be good, Dio
#30
Wow, that sounds great!

She'll be over the moon with all that:thumbsup:

Cos it is??? :giggle: :p

well explained - A+

The 75th anniversary is the original traditional diamond anniversary with the 60th being added when Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee on her 60th anniversary of accession to the throne in 1897.

All to do with Queen Victoria then.
#39
next question, what does her 60th anniversary of accession to the throne have to do with a wedding anniversary?

I can keep yopu busy all day you know
