What size bike is right for me?

I recently ordered a carrera subway 18 inch bike, but I'm not sure it would be the right size. I am 5"11. There was an option to get either 18 inch or 22 inch.

Here is the link: http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/hybrid-bikes/carrera-subway-hybrid-bike-2011-2012--medium-18

it's a very hard question to answer because all bike are different and we all have a different body shape. I have a Boardman pro and its a large 19"frame. but my GT Zaskar was a 18" medium ! and I'm 5ft 11" too. I would say the 22" will be too big. if you can pop into a halfords and cock your leg over the display bike and see how it feels.

I feel that urinating in a store, like a dog, then checking how it feels may cause issues that mean the OP is ejected from the store and possibly arrested and/or sex offenders register :p

I just phoned halfords to switch my order to the 22 inch model, thanks for the help everyone.

22" will be too big a frame for you to be comfortable with, like I said before 18" or 19" would be best .

You asked "what size bike".... it was suggested to you that 22 inch would be too big, so you decide to get a 22inch bike.

As you guys said that each bike is different in terms of sizes, I phoned up Halfords and the customer assistant told me that the 22 inch would be better.

I got a problem. I am trying to buy vouchers to lower the price of the bike from this website: http://select.halfordsbusinessservices.co.uk/. However, when I go to confirm the order it says transaction failed, then I got a call an automated call from my bank to verify whether it was me making the purchase or not. I don't know if they took the money from my account or not, but I did not get a veification email which you usually get when ordering online. Has anyone encountered the same problem? What should I do?

just worry about ordering the right size, I.e the smaller frame.
