What is this tool called?

It's like a small bradawl but instead of a point is had a threaded tip, like a screw. I don't know what it's used for, I just know what I need it for :D

I can't even find a picture of one but I know they exist. Like this, but instead of a point it has a screw/threaded end

Suspect you're talking about a Gimlet.

The gimlet and bradawl set is the perfect companion for any professional or DIY user. When drilling with an electric drill in wood, the drill bit can slip and damage the surface of the wood. A bradawl is used in order to start a neat hole precisely at the point required. The gimlet eliminates the need for a hand drill when sinking hinge screws, cup hooks and all small screws. It can also be used to start a thread for larger household and outdoor screws in softwoods.
