Lego games and Minecraft are good for lil ones. The Xbox also has free games such as Roblox which has numerous games that is aimed at the younger gamer. Also Trove is similar. :)

(There's a Lego game in next month's Games With Gold but you'll need a gold subscription - which incidentally you'll need for Roblox and Trove as they're multiplayer)

Rayman Legends can be picked up quite cheap and usually gets good reviews.

I am surprised you went from a WiiU to xbox if your daughter was a fan of mario, very curious to why?

She just stopped playing with it and I thought it might be better as my son who is nearly 4 also wants play now and they would fight over the wii u gamepad.

that makes a lot of sense! lego games are ideal then as they have co-operative modes and the whole game is fun to play alone or with a friend.

Yooka-Laylee is the closest you'll get to a Mario game on xbox. My 5 year old nephew enjoys it despite not progressing very far. Also lego games are great as others have mentioned.

My mum is a child protection social worker. She made my sister and I remove Minecraft & roblox from our girls iPads. Apparently they are notorious for grooming. There as a Disney game and a singing app that were too. I believe you can turn the chat mode off of minecraft, and if you only use Roblox as a guest no one can talk to you.
Don't mean to scaremonger, just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Just get her GTA V
That way she will be prepared for life.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved (need the Kinect to play)

Minecraft is definitely the favourite for my six year old daughter. (She's never played online with anyone, btw.)

You did know you could buy an extra pad called the Pro Controller so they could have one each?
