hi all
i want to get a broadband with home phone landline deal, currently paying BT abt £11 for line rental, so with few extra quids i can also get broadband too- so does anyone out there know the best deal for broadband with landline/home phone deal?
i am low user so speed aint that important. unlimited download will be bonus but not essential.
quidco/cashback with certain months free will help too!
thanks everyone

how do u mean? do they have both 'broadband and home phone (with landline)' as a single package? i saw Tiscali for £14.99(unlimited broadband+home phone with landline)- would this be a good deal? quidco giving £60 too.

plus net is £16.94 for broadband and home phone with landline- but broadband restricted to 10GB/month, where as talktalk restricts it to 40GB/month.

which shall i go for? what have your experience been with those companies? any other better offers? i think i will be maing my mind up in next 24 hours or so....

(no cable in my area)

i am considering talk talk too, there 0845/0870 are free...bonus. but not unlimited download-- tiscali wins here at £14.99. unlimited phone calls day and night not essential for me (yet).

finally free from the nightmare that was talktalk, signed up to postoffice home phone and unlimited broadband package £24.95 ,impressed so far, broadband doesnt disconnect 3/4 times a day like talktalk and i get free calls to UK mobiles and free int calls to 40 countries at weekends, xbox live is a much happier experience since the switch.

hi, just checked tiscali website, its £9.99 for first 3 months then £14.99 per month for there 'broadband & talk(includes line rental)' ( http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/?code=ZZ-NL-12LG ). sadly 0845/0870 are excluded compared with talktalk and post office package.

any other companies/package to match or better tiscali deal?

Id say go for the home phone through Post office and broadband thru O2 option. With quidco it will work out cheaper than anything else on the market! AND o2 broandband is brilliant!

Love them or hate then Talktalk phone line broadband inc calls free wireless moden £17.74 a month 18 month contract
And at the moment £19.47 discount=£6.49 off for 3 months

http://www.talktalk.co.uk/

I dont no if there is quidco etc for some cash back

hi, instead of post office landline, why not keep BT and broadband via O2? wouldnt this be same? or is there some special benefit frm post office (other thn quidco £9.25 frm post office for home phone)

yup there are benefits.. most notably the FREE UK (canada and US... these are a fairw hack if u use a calling card) MOBILE calls during weekends, the option to pay by cash at a PO branch (might not be a biggie, but a lot of pple hate DDs) and the most important for me was there was no contract. So in addition to the standard freeeveneing and weekend calls that the PO offer standard anyway, I think the benefits are quite good. Their lines and hardware is all BT to begin with so you get same quality of H/W but as their call centres are all UK based the PO have a better customer service.

Cheers

hi, just checked talktalk- connection fee is £29.99 and not £30- also if via quidco- thn u get £10 for land line and £55 for broadband- so £65-£29.99= £35. so still better off with talktalk??

ok guys,
i think i will be making my mind up by this evening.
what i am deciding is-
1. landline- to be with post office £11.75 - quidco gives £9.25
2. broadband- with 02- basic package is £7.34 - 3 months free and quidco gives £50

is there anything better? also are the calls between postoffice landline calls free?? (like talktalk to talktalk calls)
come on guys!! if you can beat this deal then lets hear it!!
oh, and lastly, how is it would it be to switch broadband after 12months contract- is it straight forward?
thanks everyone
