Hi
Does anybody still pay time and a half or even double on Sundays anymore? I have plenty of experience in a high end womens shop and am thinking of taking up a Sunday job to make extra cash? I'm in South East London and willing to travel to central London.

Worth a try. Gonna ask for a pay rise at work, so always good to have a back up plan

I worked in retail for 10 years and left my old job as it turned into hell . I also am looking for a part time job . turns out I can't get a job anywhere as 100s of other people keep applying for these jobs to . I think telling them I am only willing to work very few hours kinda kills my chances. I thought I would waltz into another retail job to but I was very wrong .

Thanks i haven't quit yet. But there are a lot of changes to the trains. My travel costs are increasing by a lot. I just want a Sunday job for some extra cash. I have been offered another job but its a bit too far for me. Good luck with the hunt

A lot of companies have scrapped the additional pay for Sundays now. They've either changed contracts of existing employes or implemented it for newcomers.

The days of double time for Sundays has long gone as is classed as a normal working day with most retailers now. You may get slightly over minimum wage (if you're lucky) but that's it.

Good luck though :)
