Hi all,

Looking for some input from all you guys.

We are about to move into our first home. The bathroom needs a full overhaul which we plan to get done prior to moving in.

Where would you recommend getting your bathroom suite and furniture from?

We are looking to get modular furniture i.e. Fitted toilet, Sink, storage drawers all as one o it with a p shaped bathe with shower. Tiled walls and floor with spot lights.

We plan on using a local fitter and tiler.

I was in B&Q and Homebase and had a look at their showrooms. They seemed very reasonable bordering cheap. I have read some bad reviews on the build quality of Homebase, B&Q's bathroom furniture.

Have looked at Victoria plumb and Ridgeons and there gear looks good. Has anyone any experience on the above companies and the quality of their product?

I work in a tile shop myself (not the cheapest ranges but some excellent higher end) . I do however i hear lots of issues with Victoria plumbing on their suites etc, poor quality, missing bits etc. the other places I dont hear such things

I would personally recommend the Bath Store too, generally a bit more expensive than Homebase / B&Q but their range is excellent quality and stylish. Good luck in whatever you choose.

We used tilemountain.co.uk and it worked out much cheaper than the highstreet for good quality tiles and they send samples. Also on ebay there are alot of bathroom specialist selling good stuff, which can save alot.

plumbworld.. tho i did find sometimes the ebay shop is cheaper than there website so worth looking at both just in case.
