Where to buy a gaming laptop

Looking to buy a gaming laptop, which is able to play starcraft on full graphics at good FPS.

Prefferably one that can be configured so I can spec it to suit me :)

At the moment I have looked at Dell XPS, alienwares and sony laptops, they seem to be either hugely hugely over priced or not good enough spec wise.

Looking to spend around £1,000 ish

The best option for you might be to get an open box asus g73 (the older version) that has the ati 5870. It comes with a six month warranty from BTO tech: http://****.co.uk/ASUS-G73Jh-BST7-NOTEBOOK-GAMING-G73JH-OPEN-BOX-G73-/330552790243?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item4cf67b4ce3

or a new one from the same company: http://****.co.uk/ASUS-G73SW-BT-G73SW-G73-NOTEBOOK-LAPTOP-SANDYBRIDGE-/320682223028?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item4aaa2665b4

Ironically the older, open boxed one has a faster GPU, but tended to get hotter and was a bit buggy, however, I think they solved those issues with a gpu and system bios update (that btotech include with the product.)

I haven't used them before, but their ratings speak for themselves. They ship from the states. In the UK these things cost a lot more.

There was an alienware lappy being sold on here in FS/FT think the thread got closed for some reason though might be worth checking out.

Alienware are pretty Dell's brand now though.
