Really random question. Where are people buying individual Hot Wheels cars in UK? I popped into my local Smyths Toys and Toys R Us but the selection is absolutely miniscule. I'm looking for somewhere that sells individual cars online or in shop (specifically the exotics and night burnerz collections) but not willing to pay the eBay or Amazon prices which are £6-10 per car which seems ridiculous?!

Thanks for any help or advice!

I get mine from Asda usually and sometimes B and M's.

B&M or Home Bargains have them much cheaper than places like Toys R Us
#3
my kids have lost interested in them now but used to get them from poundland a lot
#4
asda, they have the best selection
#5
Halfords sell them individually for around £1.45 each... Have loads of different types in my local store

Poundland sell the single hot wheel cars. There are lots of different ones im not 100% sure if its the collections you need though.
They are always at the end of the toy/stationary aisle.

Poundworld - usually a good mix but not sure if they specifically have what you have mentioned in your post

poundland

Asda always seem to have them at £1 and some £2/3

we get ours from Tesco, they have boxes of individual cars, sometimes you can find an unopened box and seek out the rare cars.

Poundworld had some not so long ago, but definitely asda do them, think they were 1.35each as got some for stocking fillers

Got one in b&m for £1.29 I think

Thanks for all the replies so far folks, keep them coming! I'm going to try my local B&M, Asda and Poundland tomorrow evening, so fingers crossed! I tried my local Tesco Extra (the huge stores which are 24 hours) and they didn't have any at all!

Any major supermarket, b n m, pound land /world, toys r us, smyths, the entertainer, wh smith, when you're in the supermarket they sometimes put them in random aisles like cereal aisle on the plastic hangers. Look out for treasure hunt cars and super treasure hunt cars which are worth more, they usually have a th written on the car, or if you look under the car on the cardboard it'll have a flame symbol.

Thanks for the tip! I will keep my eyes peeled for flame symbols.

Update - I tried Sainsbury yesterday and they had a selection of about 50 individually packed cars (Gran Turismo and BMW series and some randoms), B&M basically didn't have anything, only 2 bigger sets. Asda had a random selection of maybe 60-70 cars just chucked into a box but included some 'Art' cars.

I contacted Mattel who responded fairly promptly but were not very helpful. Initial response was to use eBay and Amazon. I mentioned the inflated prices and they suggested Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco. Pretty terrible customer service if you ask me!

I was reading about the treasure hunt cars yesterday evening, this makes me want to scour all the supermarkets looking for them!

Cheers!

I'll see if I can link my husband to the thread, he'll be able to give a bit better advice than me! I'm just a hot wheels widow when we go in shops!

That would be great, thank you!
