You should be okay but I personally wouldn't as you need to be wary.

Personally I would buy second-hand from a shop so you get warranty.

ive bought 2 or 3 phones from ebay, so long as you stick to sellers with 100% feedback and plenty of feedback, and use paypal you should be ok.

oO Might be a better idea to teach her how to be responsible for her belongings

My last two phones were bought from eBay. I had no problems though I bought due to feedback on sellers.

Trouble with ebay is the amount of scammers on there. Esp at this time of year. Im thinking of selling my husbands phone atm but very wary of using ebay. Ive bought and sold phones on there in the past and not had any problems. Id rather sell to someone I know to save the worry of being diddled.
I hope you get sorted op, it can be a minefield out there!

I've bought a few phones from eBay, but I always insist on collecting them and not paying until I've seen them. I'd prefer to view the phone, then make the paypal payment (to protect me), then take the phone and come home. Not all sellers like this idea though, but it's the safest way for a buyer I think. It's shocking what other people think 'mint with no scratches' actually means!
