I imported Rockband PS3 from the US. I couldn't find any stores that would ship it overseas, think there are restrictions on it.
I got mine from an amazing ebay'er (username - play_today!!) who marked it as a gift and saved me a fortune in import duty and VAT. As the game is now readily available in the US it is no longer overpriced on eBay. The postage is a bit scary but the game is half the price over there anyway as the RRP is currently £149.99.
Release date was set at March 21st however ShopTo now have it as 1st June. Not surprised it's been put back as there have been issues with EA over guitar compatibility. Guitar Hero 3 guitars will work with Xbox however not with PS3.

hi mate. do u no if the 360 version is compatable with uk consoles? i.e region free!

Not too sure about 360 compatibility, xbox is the only console I'm not familiar with.
The Rockband forums are great and full of people who know all about the game. From having a quick look on there it seems that the 360 version is region coded so wouldn't play over here, it's also not available solus on movietyme.com so that makes me think it definately wouldn't work. Hadn't realised that the 360 was region-specific.

I thought you 360 owners had a better deal than the PS3 owners because your guitar hero guitars will work and ours won't but feel like it's a bit more even now ;-)

The US 360 version won´t work over here cuz it´s regionlocked :(
If they push the release back any more I´ll just import it for the ps3...

Things are usually priced Pound-for-Dollar, so if it's $150 in the USA it will be £150 here. Sure, that sucks, because it effectively means it's half price in the USA, but if you try importing it you'll have to pay shipping, which will cost a bomb because there's a drum kit, guitar and microphone in the kit. Then there's the fact that it's a bit hard to find even over there - they were having hardware problems when it was released (some faulty guitars and breaking drum pedals), and there are not that many places that will ship it to the UK, so over here availability is even lower. So even importing it will cost you around £150. And yeah, even then it's not region free, so the only way to play it is by having a USA console over here. Not even enabling your console to play backup games will allow you to play it because so far there's no way to overcome the 360's region lock.

It was supposed to be out here in March but now it's been postponed indefinitely (hence all the different new release dates). Not sure why - hardware faults and/or shortages? Gamespot just has it down as 'Q3 2008'. I've been playing it on the PS2 with a Guitar Hero controller, but I do really wish I could form a band already!

£38 without instruments.

if u have Gutar heroes check on gamespot website to see if ur gutar is compatible and see if singstar mics are.

then get the drums seperate.

thats the only way ur not going to be paying around the £100+ mark

hope this helps

Games rrp are $60 and £40 so they basically get their games for £30 not £20
