ok i find this all confusing but i think i need to buy an R4 for my sons ds lite ( i understand what they do) but i can't find one under £45.00 . ive looked on deal extreame as everyone on here seems to rate them well and they start at $35.86 until i add it to the cart then its $45+ shipping.
can someone please point me in the right direction on where to buy one at a reasonable price?? also what is the N5?? is it the same as the R4? or should i buy the toptoy?

thanks in advance.

The DSM3 Real or Simply are very good .. you can also get these from deal extreme (don't know if they have any in stock ? ) I think the are about £20 incl del' - they come with a micro sc card reader & some have the rumble pack.
I have never seen a R4 or N5 card , but believe they are newer versions of the same thing ? but not sure ............
can't imagine what else they can do ?

If your going to order that get this to at the same time

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2953

This is a rumble pack, I ordered this and the DSTT from there last week for £15.19 a couple of mates say it takes between 1 & 2 weeks before they come but well worth it.

On top of that buy one of these to put the things on, 1 Gb starts at £2.99, 2Gb £4.99, 4Gb £10.99 (This is what I got) they go higher but then you start getting sick as things you put on are not that big and you get lost in the amount of stuff you have on it.

Hope that helps.

If you haven't already ordered, get the DSTT with 2gb Micro SD card

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10401

You need a Micro SD card, so you may as well get the best at a decent price.

If your son's dad needs any help setting it up, ask in THIS thread

Dont do it lol
For one its cheaper to get the memory card from DVD.co.uk and probally else where in the UK to. But also getting that one will take your import to over £18 which means you could get stung for tax... so just get the DSTT from dealextreme and the rumble cart and the memory elsewhere.

Can you provide a link to a cheaper Japanese made Kingston 2gb memory card on dvd.co.uk, or "Elsewhere in the UK"?

Can you also find evidence of people getting stung for tax? There are loads of threads for dealextreme, so you have a wide base to look for evidence.

I use dealextreme weekly, and every package I have had has no value marked on it, and is marked as a "Gift".

The point is potentially you can get stung for Tax it has happened to some of my mates but not me *Touch wood* also it is cheaper to get the memory over here then in that deal that was posted by about a £1, so saving a £1 and not having the CHANCE of being stung by import tax is worth not getting it from there I think

a link to Kingston memory is
http://dvd.co.uk/Hw/Kingston-Flash-memory-card-SD-adapter-included-2-GB-microSD/SDC2GB/product.htm which is £4.99 not sure if thats what you wanted thou??

I bought a DSTT from Gameyeeah a few weeks back, they sent me this email with a code for the R4, not sure how the price compares to other sites but see if it helps.

You are not saving £1 because the one you linked to is £6.98 inclusive of delivery.
I have a thread on HUKD stating the best prices for Micro SD cards, so I would know if there were any Kingston 2gb cards for £4.99. :)

Lots of things can "potentially happen" you have to look at the probability of it happening.

I will have to take your word that "Some of your mates" got stung, as it can't be verified.

OK my fault I did not put postage on, so it costs you just under £1 more getting it from the UK but you do get to be abloe to send it back with less hassle and and there is NO Potenial to be stung by Import TAX. 2 of my mates did get stung with Duty, and I have had 3 memory chips from Asia that have been brokwn when they have come here and this can be verified by my Ebay comments from both me and the seller (The seller did have great feedback too)

You do not need to take "My word for It" & jsut as I would rather not take the chance for such a small amount, along with the added posibility it might not work as the checks on memory are not as great as the checks done on UK memory Chips.

As I can see your one of those people that does not like "being wrong" I wil leave it there.
