I don't buying the app if it has extra features that might be useful.
But, don't want to buy it to remove ads, because I block those already.

I think I'll probably use the app/scanner for a few days, until the novelty has worn off, so maybe it's a waste of money buying one.

Thank you.

I think we have a winner already.

I got mine from Amazon for £1. I think I used the non rush delivery, so I got £1 media credit back.

Torque is good, I prefer obd doctor on mine though. I also use car specific programs on laptop via obd USB cable. Forscan for ford. Vcds/vagcom for Vag etc.

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll give that a whirl too.

If you do get into it, DashCommand is a brilliant app. I used torque and it works very well although the interface is a bit basic. I bought a mirrorlink head unit and was after something a bit more polished. DashCommand has loads of features, graphs, can show your route on a map and had a good dash showing speed, revs, boost (if you have a turbo), G's etc. It's £10 but worth it if you use it regularly. But I agree with the Torque recommendation if you're after a free app. Although I didn't try any others.

Thank you very much.

I've tried Torque and OBD Doctor (free versions). Of the two I prefer OBD Doctor.
But, the scanner looks like it will spend the rest of its days in the drawer.
