The Post Office offers good travel insurance although it won't be the cheapest.

If only there was a price comparison website for this sort of thing.

chose one with a low excess just in case you have to make a claim like we had to otherwise it could be useless if your excess is say £250.

Virgin were the best for me, but I do have a weird medical condition and it was for a 6 month overseas stay.

If you have a Nationwide Flexaccount you get it for free.

£35 for the year seems a good deal to me.

I used Sainsbury's last time.

Check with your bank, i have an hsbc advance acct. It costs £10 p/m and i get worldwide travel ins for myself, wife and kids under 18. Breakdown cover, mobile phone cover, and other things included in the price..... worth a look.

I've always used the Post Office too for holidays abroad, and if I remember rightly my Daughter was free on the policy. For UK holidays I tend to use comparethemarket.com and go with the cheapest ( you get 2 for 1 cinema tickets too)
