I have a friend who could help me he already said about building my own, what kind of warranty would u get with the parts

Would want something that could play all the recent games and for basic use like surfing and downloading

What kind of performance could I get with the funds I have stated above like 600 max I would have and that's pushing it

Thanks badass for you're comment

End of the month I get paid monthly it's a nightmare

Thought I'd better ask the questions now so I'm better informed of what hardware I would need to get

Think building my own is the way I need to go

My current PC went bang a couple of weeks ago, so I've just gone down the road of building my own for the first time. Have ordered all the components, just waiting for them to arrive!!

I found this PC Designer to be quite helpful. Dinopc is another site I used for information. For price comparison I used skinflint. And the last site I'd recommend is this benchmark site. It allows you to compare CPUs, graphic cards etc.

Fortunately I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I will also use the case from my old PC along with the optical drives, saving myself a little bit of money.

This is the setup I've gone for in the new PC so far :-

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Motherboard
Intel i5-760 Processor
Coolermaster Hyper TX3 CPU Cooler
Corsair VX 550W Power Supply
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz
2x500GB Samsung HD502HJ Spinpoint F3.

The total for the above came to around £460 (inc. p&p). I'll also be getting a GeForce GTX 460 graphics card (when I can afford it!!) which retails between £140 and £180, depending on which version you go for.

I hope this helps a bit, and if anyone would like to comment on my setup, please feel free to do so!!

http://www.bfgtech.com/warranty.aspx and dcx_badass AMD VS INTEL its all down to preference as the new athlon II X6 core is pretty beast and have to say beats alot of intel CPU`s.
