Which laptop out of these two would you recommend:
Toshiba Satellite A200-28p for ca.£550
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1728235/art/toshiba/satellite-a200-28p.html
or about £60 more for Acer Aspire 6930G in this configuration:
http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_6930G_Laptop_LX.AVB0X.001/version.asp

40% for Internet, 30% games, 20% movies,
Maybe you can find something better up to £600 with good garphics card
Thanks.

Dunno about the specs but ive had both a Toshiba and an Acer in the past and for usabillity id only recommend the Acer to my worst enemy, dreadful laptop that now sits unused in a cupboard and im reasonable sure its down to it being an acer rather than the spec.....

The Acer will be better for gaming as it has the better graphics card in the 9600M GS, whereas the Toshiba comes with a HD2600.

You could get a better 'gaming' laptop for the money, but probably refurb & may come with a reduced warranty.

I'd avoid buying from Pixmania. Goods are shipped from France (usually with a French-only manual), & I've heard customer services are poor.

Was it one of those bargain-basement Acers?

Well, I'm not so sure about this. On this site this model has HD2600 XT and this card is quicker than 9600m GS.
I can't find this laptop on toshiba website.

You're right (see here - the former is 7 places above the latter). I was thinking of PCI-E desktop graphics, where a 9600 series card would be considerably better than a 2600 series one.

See here - XT not specified, but it probably is if that site specifies it.

Guess one would've thought by the greater number in the spec (made a mistake too for a different reason - see my previous post). But that's lousy graphics cards' models naming/numbering for you :p

Any more suggestions about these two laptops or other with similar specs and price?
