VM are terrible but

Get Ultra-reliable broadband only £4.50 a month
If you take our great value, flexible phone service, you can now get our speedy, reliable 2Mb broadband for just £4.50 a month. And like all our broadband packages, there are no boring download limits and you get free internet security chucked in.

So 4.50 plus 11

virgin media you can have phone xl tv package and a fast broadband for £30 and if you need a mobile you can have a simcard for £10 a month with 300 mins and 300 texts also.only issue i have had with virgin is occassional overcharge on billing but they always refund it the following month.

cant you get a 32 inch samsung tv for 299 if u go to virgin for the package deal?
#5
would'nt go with virgin we had nothing but trouble with our bills, we've been with sky for 7 years and not had 1 problem.

What I think I'm going to do is go for both.

VM for phone and internet (2mb unlimited) for £15.50 a month and Sky for the TV side of things. That way you can get two lots of quidco aswell which works out at quite a saving if both track ok!

Depends what speed internet and how many channels you want as to whether it is worthwhile for you or not.

Virgin media are so ****.
but then again i hear Sky is bad
this is from an Online Gaming point of view.
Also 1.50 a minute to talk to customer services with VM and its an indian call centre which is impossible to understand.

im with v-media and never had any problems with them, if your taking phone with vm then calling customer services is free on 150 however getting broadband support is charged although refunded if its a proper fault, they have had loads of calls from people asking stupid questions that had nothing to do with broadband so if you do ever have a fault with broadband then they will refund the call. all other call for tech support for phone and tv is free

What are you on about??

Calling customer services is free from a VM phoneline and there are freephone numbers also available for non VM calls

And for your info call centres are in the UK however there faults department maybe in India but that doesn't make the call cost anymore

sounds good, and what happened about the sky issues they were having has that been resolved?
#16
still ongoing court action, when ive spoken to vm in the past i was told they were confident of getting the sky channels back but who knows, i would say if your wanting sky one/two/three skysports news etc that sky took from vm then i would go with sky as it might be a long time before they appear back on vm.

the good thing about vm is you can get a pretty good discount if you go through retentions however you might have to be with them for a good 6 months before they offer you anything decent.

thanks for the help the guys much appreciated.

i suppose theres no plans to cut the price of hd boxes and they started charging for sky boxes and sky plus box gone up in price just great. i was an ex sky customer long time back i still get flyers but havent had one for a long time would i get a discount?

I have been with (NTL) / VM for about 10 years and yes there have been a few problems, but Hey I went onto the 3 for £30 and negotiated a good upgrade for being a great & loyal customer:oops: , so its VM for me. PS Good TV package, Very good phone package and a great Broadband service. Maybe its different on the mainland but in Belfast its relitively good (for me!:-D )

i would want to go with sky, as i watch sky 1 and sky movies but they are pretty expensive as they charge for thier equipment which i thought was free or cheaper than before atleast.

Been with NTL/VM same period of time, may I ask, what deal u managed to get Renegade01, as I've just gone 3 for £30?

Negotiated thus so far:
XL TV
L Phone
L BB

I can renegotiate this deal if I'm unhappy with it, so any feedback would be useful, cheers :)

You can get round the high priced calls by going through SAYNOTO0870.COM
This gives you all the free phone numbers or local landline numbers for all the businesses like SKY, PC World, etc.
