Hi,

Im sorry if I have put this in the wrong place, but I am sooo confused, I want a sat nav for around £100, I have seen quite a few for the price so that isnt a problem, my problem is what to go for. Garmin, Navman or Tom Tom? I also want Blue tooth connection on it for my phone so that I can answer it hands free, not really that bothered about anythin else.

Can anyone help?

Well as I only use mine now and again I now use my w950i as my satnav saving me money and space. If you have a symbian or windows phone you can get tomtom from sites on the net. If you have gps on your phone then your set if not you will need a blue tooth gps receiver. They are about £20.

If you will use it every day get a satnav. As for recommendations go to halfords and have a play to see which one you like using.

Hi, Thank you for replying, I will be using it quite often with work. Ive used a Tom Tom before and really liked it but it was Tom tom go 730 and thats about £300!! Ive been reading all the comments on here and a lot of people are favouring the Garmin.

A TomTom 720 is (hardware wise) exactly the same as the 730 - its just a different bezel on the front.

The software is different, and of course theres no way I will risk a ban by discussing how to upgrade the 720 to 730 standard via the web. You certainly shouldn't PM me to get this information either.

Agreed - for the price Tom Tom one Europe is the one to go for.

Independent consumer's association says something like:-

This TomTom performs pretty competently across the board and is exceptional value for money. It doesn’t come with a large screen, but even so, its visual and audio advice are good.

TomTom One is the biggest selling model in the UK. As the name suggests, this derivative comes ready loaded with European mapping, for which many more expensive models ask extra.

Rated 70% - models at 3x the price reach 73%.

No-brainer.
