Even if it is the cheapest you can get that item? I have seen this happen quite a few times.

One reason might be because the deal is a duplicate of another post

Second that.

Because an item is " the cheapest you can get it ", doesn't make it worth buying.
#5
Because some ppl are never happy, I just like seeing someone getting a good deal, even if that deal is not local to me.
#6
Finally, someone has asked this question!

I think people vote cold if the deal is not for them rather than if it's a good deal. I see a lot of negative and rude comments about deals posted and am sure that puts people off posting deals too

One of best points of HOTUKDEALS is that deals get scrutinised and you get many points of view, so you do not have to think to much, and the general consensus is usually right.

Occasionally it is because people don't understand it. The deal may not have been described well or just it is just an expensive niche item (or an iphone).

I don't care about how hot (or cold) something is, when i come on i always check the ALL and NEW tabs and then look through normally a days worth of posts and i decide what ones are good.

Yes the really hot ones are normally great deals, as they are beneficial to more people but i have had some good deals from ones that have been voted cold as well.

Just voted your post cold. Not sure why?

What quine said is correct. Unfortunately some people's mission on here is to vote cold and post negative comments, no matter the deal. It's a shame as some genuinelly good deals don't always get hot.

That in addition to the fact your deal needs to be either a TV, solid state drive, or a USB flash drive to get heat. Not sure how many tellys people need...

In my opinion just because it is the cheapest doesn't mean it is a "hot/good deal"....... just means it is the cheapest found.

Because a lot of people are dicks

I vote cold when the posts are lies. i.e. Free item X worth £50.00 when you spend £20,000 in store. Its not free.
Its like me posting free £100.000 when you give me £500.000.

Site is full of sheep, if its cold they vote cold, if its hot they vote hot, what I dont understand is why all deals go cold within the first 10mins

I posted a cosmo hair curler set which went to -20 then made it to the positives lol. It might not be for everyone but it was a really good price for a hair tool with 3 attachments. I stopped posting at one point because of all the good deals been voted cold but if it can help one person then thats fine by me hehe.

One reason might be because the deal is a duplicate of another post
then people should learn what the spam button is for rather than voting cold

is it not for reporting spam?

duplicate deals are spam. It takes 3 people clicking the spam button for the deal to be deleted
