I was looking to buy assassins creed black flag for £12 a while back but the price went up to £15. I thought that was strange but whatever I'll wait till it drops back down. Just had a look and it's now £20! Had a look at some other games I remembered looking at - FIFA 14 was £4 now £7, killzone was £9 now £15.

Is this normal for cex?

Btw FIFA is still £5 delivered at GAME as per my previous deal.

I was wondering the same, was going to trade in my xbox one kinnect and halo master chief for £61 voucher, but then it went up to £67.

I think, and this is purely a guess, that the prices have gone up in reaction to their stocks going down. When I looked first at one ps4 game they had nearly 1,000 copies available. I looked again and the price had increased and they only had 194 left.

This is correct. Cex prices alter in line with stock levels/popularity. For example, at the moment they have loads of iPhone 6 Plus 64GB models so they are (relatively) very cheap next to the Apple price. They're likely to increase in price if stock levels reduce dramatically. The price of Pebble smartwatches has also gone up by a couple of quid. If they see things selling in high volume and stock reducing accordingly then they will alter the price.

Went into my local CEX. Not been in one of their stores since when I went into one on Tottenham Court Road in London in the late 90s.
Wasn't too impressed with their prices. I also went into my local Game and wasn't impressed with their prices either.

*off to see what i can trade in at cex*

The prices can fluctuate quite a bit. Biggest price drop I've seen is the surface pro priced at £330 drop to £285 the day after I bought one from them and the Surface Pro 2 which i almost got dropped from £500 to £425 so very glad i didn't but that. As it was only £100 more though instead of almost £200 I made use of their 48 hour exchange and got the SP2. Also more memory (SP1 was 64GB and SP2 was 128GB). Wondered if it had something to do with me buying one as apparently both had been sat in the store for a couple of months.
