Hi

People,

Got a Wii and was looking for extras to buy. I wanted another Wii mote....but checked it was £29.99.

But then heard that with Wii Play you get a the Wii mote and 9 basic "crappy" lol games for around £35. Which is a much better deal.

Does anyone know where I can get it at the cheapest price?

If you're in a rush, then gamestation have them in stock for £34.99. If you can wait, powerplaydirect have them for £29.99.

Thanks alot for your reply iand68!

Appreciated.

I also wanted to ask my PC is upstairs and want to connect my Wii to the net. How could I do this without using a router?

Also hows the internet on the Wii and also whats all this Wii number on about? Noticed it on your Sig :-D

Sorry for all these Qs

I'm not too knowledgable about pc's and connections, but I think you'll need a router. You can either hard wire from the router or go wireless. Mine's wireless and its pretty simple to set up. Hopefully someone else can help you out a bit more on this.

Internet on the wii is ok, but obviously not as good/easy as on a pc/laptop. It uses the opera browser and is free at the moment to download through the wii shopping channel.

As for the wii number, once you get your wii set up and running, you'll be able to send messages to other wii players using the wii friend code. Its basically like a gamer tag on xbox live, you just can't change it.

If you have any more questions, just ask. ;-)

Hello.

You can do this by buying a wifi adapter for around £20-30 which plugs into the usb port.

Thanks for the advice guys!!!

Ok I might just buy the USB router you've shown DC007, as the price is reasonable. Will just place an order soon.

But it does say for the DS but I guess it doesn't matter as it will be able to transmit the same signal i.e using the Connection of the PC to the maching the USB port is placed in?

So think I might go for it....and utilise the Wii even more as Wii Sports..is slightly getting Boring! lol :giggle:

Jees, everything you've said upsets me, lol.

Wii Play games are actually really fun, there's a lot on there with a good deal of longivity in multiplayer (i keep finding myself putting it on with friends round and my girlfriend as well!).

Wii Sports also, how can you be bored? I've had it for 2 weeks now and I still find there's so much to do, have you done the fitness training? I found that added a lot of life to it also.

As for the usb adapter, I have the nintendo ds usb wifi adapter and it works a treat. Easy to set up withthe wii having a separate option specifically for it - which makes me think that it'll be repackaged and sold at a dearer rate soon. You can download the trial version of the internet (full version released March and will be free to all users to download and keep until July, when it'll cost wii points but if you've already downloaded it will remain free). I find the internet to be a great addition and the pages very easily viewed, along with loads of videos (watching the latest series of family guy through my wii :-D )

Sorry Phoenix_af! :-(

Just that I guess you are right since I have had it on the weekend its was fun having the mates around, even with the use on one control pad, as it was amazing how our movement was playing the game!

Daym technology nowadays!

lol..especially Boxing..thats why Im looking for another control pad hence looking for Wii Play as have already bought the nunchuk.

However regarding the USB adaptor, I think I should rather buy a router as could use it for other functions i.e Laptop connections...etc...

If you buy the datel one, I'm pretty sure that can be used for up to 5 different items. ie one wii, ds, 2 laptops and another computer could all connect at once!

Good luck searching!

I must admit I thought I'd get fed up with it very quickly, but I find myself coming back to it everyday, to lower my wii age and try and get some homeruns!! Damn ball is so hard to hit!!! :x

lol....soooo true.....no need for the Gym..playing Wii....have to actually admit....its a Nice Piece of Kit! :-D

Yep, I agree. I was surprised at how small it is. I'm sure you can stick it in your pc case and disguise it as a cd drive!!

I bough wii play when i got my wii, and also found it a bit lame. However, there is one advantage to it. SInce it only costs a few quid more than the controller, you can sell the game on ebay after you get bored with it (which i did after about a week) and reclaim much of the cost.

I got £25 for mine, which in effect means i got a controller for about £10.
#23
Yea - Powerplaydirect dont have any in stock & there will be a "several" week wait (from customer services) - so I paid a bit extra (£35) & ordered from Gamestation last night. Will let you know when I get it (1 got lost in the post from Shopto.net - but I doubt they even sent it out as a few other people had theres lost too & 2 orders were cancelled - hope they deliver this one)
#24
Can anyone confirm that Gamestation still have it in stock?
I tried to call them but no one picked up the phone...how nice.
#25
Just order it online.....

I had the same problem last week. I wanted to cancel an order, so I emailed them twice but failed to get a reply. I tried phoning them all day Friday, but I either got an engaged tone or it just kept ringing!

I received an email Monday saying that my order has been dispatched!!

So much for their customer service!! :x
