Looking for a good deal on these, will spent upto £50 for the pair, would like a reasonable range, max distance about 5-6meters.

Any ideas?

Current mouse is a logitech M-RAA3 but the range is rubbish, keyboard is a wired dell.

TIA

Don't know that model, is it getting on a bit? Logitech are usually pretty good for range.

How about something like this: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/123303 it comes in a fraction above £50 including delivery if you take advantage of the Google checkout offer.

Then there's this a little under budget: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Cordless-Rechargeable-Desktop-Keyboard/dp/B0007SQKEU/ref=sr_1_23/026-1430288-2097218?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1180002078&sr=1-23

or this if you fancy something cheap and cheerful: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Cordless-Desktop-EX-110/dp/B000AQMLLA/ref=sr_1_1/026-1430288-2097218?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1180002078&sr=1-1

5-6m is probably further than most normal RF keyboards and mice go (often then begin to drop after only 1.5m, the logitech devices above I think say 10ft). You may need to get a bluetooth model for that sort of range?

Or you could consider moving the location of the sensor.

Bluetooth's a lot more expensive though, but you're right RF range isn't massive generallly. The logitechs often (but not always, so watch out for this) come with long cables to the receiver though so it's no so much of a problem.

I have a Logitech RF set myself and have happily used them from what I would consider a reasonable maximum distance (3-4metres), but you're seriously going to be squinting at the screen from 5-6 unless you have a cinema screen in your room. That said a lot depends on what's around to interfere with the signal.

This is true, bluetooth devices seem to start at £70 upwards and also have potential compatability issues with wifi networks (they both operate around 2.4GHz and interfere with each other). If you do sit 5m from the screen, if you can get the sensor somewhere middling between yourself and the screen that cuts the required range to 2.5meters and probably within usable range for the newer logitech models.

Thanks for the help, will probably go for the mx3000, although the mouse looks huge, considering I prefer to watch the pc on my Sony LCD and the mousepad is my leg :-D

Anyone know what the Logitech S510 is like ?

Also I measured the distance, it is more like 3 meters from the sofa to the pc!

cheers
