They do combo packages on both - although the TV on the adsl package sounds like just freeview.

Do you know what speed broadband you signed up for? ADSL is 8mbps, Cable is 2mbps or 20mbps.

I would check out Buffalo Cable routers, I have had 1 a year and have never had to turn it off (as most people do to reset it when it goes wrong). It works great with all the Wireless consoles I have got (DS, 360, PS3). Also I live in a 3 bedroom house and my 2 PC are in a room in the opposite corner of the house on a different floor and always get great signal. I tried looking on ebuyer.com (Where I got mine) but they do not have it listed atm try looking somewhere else for it. They are cheap, reliable and work better then a Linksys, D-Link & Netgear ones that I have owned.

Hope that helps.

DONT buy a router till you find out if you are on ADSL or Cable. The routers are different.

ADSL comes in via your normal phone line.

If you are on cable they would have run a cable through your front garden and into the house and then put a small "box" just inside your house. Your phone, TV and broadband would ALL come out this little box.

If you are still not sure phone them to verify.

Do not buy a wireless router from virgin media. Phone them up and ask for one. Tell them that you will go elsewhere after your contract ends if they say no.

I did and got one free as did many other people.
