The ones in the link are ADSL (phoneline)

you need one like this
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/90827

if you pay by google checkout it knocks £10 off the price...so £25.18 inc super saver delivery

The link is to recon or similar units. Are they OK from this source?
The wireless will only be used over about 10 metres and only for broadband by one user. Would the cheapest one be ok?

Well those on HUKD who have purchased the recon units from there have been pleased..suggest you go for the Netgear router..and if you require a adapter also match it with a netgear.

It will be used with a Dell Inspiron 1501 wireless laptop just purchased. Will the Netgear one be OK?

My wireless router has died ( belkin).

Get Belkin to change it for you instead of buying a new one.

Belkin Ltd (United Kingdom) 08:30 to 17:30 GMT Monday to Friday
Telephone: 0044 (0)1933 352 000 - then option 1 for Sales Department
Fax: 0044 (0)1933 312 000

Will be silly to buy a new one when Belkin will replace it for you under their lifetime warranty.
