No, its part of the subscription

hook up skybox to a dvd recorder, it will only record in real time so could take a while!
only work if you recently stopped the sub therefore within the month's notice of cancellation, otherwise it can't be done.

It use to be - might still be - that the free to air channels - BBC etc.. recordings were unencrypted on the HDD so you can take the drive out and copy them off using Sky Copy + - sky recordings were encrypted though although you could copy them to a new HDD if you were upgrading the drive (using the Sky Copy + software).

Don't know about recordings from the catch up channels that are now on the boxes like iplayer etc..

You can pay a sub of £10 a month and they will switch it on so you can view the recordings again .
#5
You can view any recordings from the free channels but any recordings from subscription channels will be locked.

You lose the + features so record/play won't work either, even on free channels.

There was a glitch on some hd boxes that allow you to continue to record/watch free with no sub..

play does work on previous recordings, record and pause on live tv dont.

the £10 sub is to record, pause and rewind etc on live tv. this is none of those.

This is incorrect you will lose the play / record function.
