In my opinion the best deal around is Autoaid, but you need to contact them by phone as they dont advertise. 01277 235500. It costs £32 per year and works a bit differently than the others in that you pay for the recovery and claim it back.

Repayment is within 7 days so do it on a credit card and its paid up before your statement arrives. As they dont advertise much I have put their details on my web site here

Ok I ended up going for the Halfords one, with a bit of luck I wont need it, but thanks alot ninegt! Good find, ended up going for the £39 option.

Also thanks melipona, just thought for the extra £7 I should go for this, as sometimes I dont always have money to pay for a tow. Even though it is refunded!

Thanks again though! You've definitly saved me atleast £25! So im happy :D

Glad you got youself sorted out.

I suppose I should have added that with Autoaid you dont need to pay for a tow as it happens, just get them to invoice you. Also Autoaid covers the driver not the car and includes both husband and wife in the cover. Search for the review on MSE for a comparison with others

Definitley the best deal. Just joined a couple of months back. Best cover by far. £32 a year for me AND the wife and it covers us as the driver, not the car.

Just a word of caution here. This is one of those occasions when price isn't everything, because you can't assume that you are comparing like with like. A number of companies, including Halfords and National Breakdown, specifically exclude cover for common problems like running out of petrol or losing keys, whilst Brittania Rescue, the AA, RAC, Morethan, to name a few, don't. Depending upon what level of cover you want, Morethan and the AA actually work out quite cheap if you go through Quidco. Roadside assistance with the AA comes to about £48 a year after the £20 Quidco cashback. Hope this helps.

Should have said Roadside assistance and Recovery with the AA comes to about £48 a year after the £20 Quidco cashback.:)
