with the hype of the new grand theft auto my husband has decided i should get him an xbox !!!!
but i am unsure which one to go with do i need to by the seprate dvd to watch hd?
and is it worth getting them second hand off ebay to save a few £££££

You should buy new if you can afford it, to get the best out of the warranty, and I would advise either a premium or an elite, which come with a hardrive.

thank you i will go for new is the only benefit of the premium the hardrive does it make any diff with watching dvds ?

For standard dvd's any 360 will play them without a harddrive, If you get one with a HDMI connection it will upscale them for you, otherwise you can pick up the seperate HD-DVD player add on which will let you play HD-DVD's

only my opinion but pretty pointless getting the hd/dvd drive as they are no longer making any more hd discs, only blue ray as sony won the war, also woolworths have a good offer at moment, xbox 360n premium with gta iv for 199.99 plus 8% from quidco if u but online. Hope this helps. :)

Apparently u can order the HD-DVD from German Amazon for £10... or around that, but to be honest ur better off just watching standard DVD upscaled thru HDMI...

It is well worth getting the premiumum with the hard drive.

Longer term he will want it! There are some great bundle deals around
