Still got the receipt?

If so.. take it back to Game. It's their responsibility to fix it for you.

As long as its in within one year old and you have the receipt to prove that take it back to game and they will have to give you a brand new console as its faulty.

I remember having a problem with mine around the same time. The guy in PC world first tried to tell me i should contact xbox support for help but I told him under the sales of goods act 1984 bla bla bla they were responsible for the product and that i am entitled for to a replacement as the contract of sale is with them.

And i didnt have a receipt for mine and after a little bit of arguing they checked via my reward card i got a full refund (for the price i paid last year of £250 for premium) as they didnt have any in stock.
Then i went and bought it in toys r us with one game for £200. £50 profit and a brand new console with new warranty
I also kept my hard drive (i just mention it, but if your too honest then argue that you got things saved on it)
They never even checked in the box (i could of put a brick in there for all they knew.
This was the harlow store. My brother is a manager of a different local store and he said even if they say no at 1st argue it and they will give you it.
Also try and get a refund and then re-buy it from somewhere else as they are so cheap now days and if you get a refund it will be the price you paid last year (i bought in august and it was £250)

Good luck, hope this helps. Any problems let me know and i will speak to my bro for advice on what too say.

Unopened box

The new console should be the Falcon chipset I believe.

Remember to get them to swap the hard drives. You can transfer any content licences for stuff downloaded from Xbox Live using the DRM Transfer tool on the Xbox website:

Dont accept that, ask for a refund and then re-buy it for cheaper and you get it straight away. That way you will get a good £50 extra cash. Honestly if you complain they will do it.
