Evening all,

I have an Xbox one 500gb, with a 1TB external hard drive attached to it via USB for games, movies etc.

Both are nearly full (93.7 total used)

What are my best options now? Should I ditch (sell or re purpose) my 1tb hard drive and get something bigger and transfer contents across (if that is possible)? Or should I simply get another hard drive and attach it to a spare USB port?

Any recommendations would be appreciated! I have a £60 Amazon voucher, so I would be looking to buy something from there.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

3TB at Amazon for £75. We have this drive on one of our XBox Ones and it works fine.

buy big.

I grabbed a 4TB and it was 79%

I then thoroughly went through and deleted what I would never play again, went down to around 40

would agree to buy big . bought a 5TB hard drive and used 900GB. aswell as using 470GB on my internal hard drive and with awesome free games unlike PS . definitely worth it if you have the money . bought mine for £110 I think .

I'm glad someone is asking this. my 500gb hd is nearly full as my lad got ea access from santa. If I bought the external HD listed above does it simply just plug into xbox. Does it require it's own power source?

Some do, some don't

Best to check. Usually 2tb and under do not require power. These are called "portable" hdds (hard drives)

Brill. Thanks.

Thanks for the input guys. Does it cause a problem if I have two hard drives? Or can I transfer the contents from my existing external to this new one?

I have 2 external HDDs plugged in, no issues. But yes, you can move content between HDD's
