I'm not sure if its just me but last year and the year around this time there were some really good deals to be had.

This year it seems we are all struggling to find anything 2 weeks before xmas thats a decent deal.

Totally agree.

I usually use Hotukdeals as a present finder when I'm completely out of ideas. Not helping me much this year! but that's only because I am too lazy to do the thinking/searching.

I've had one small bargain for the kids this year, a mine craft Steve. No really good deals around this year!

I think everybody's too busy catching you-know-whats instead of hunting/posting hot deals.. :p

Not just gifts, food deals.

i remember this week specifically lidl had turkeys going for ridiculously cheap.

i also remember some great laptop deals. maybe i should start looking properly. problem is i never book mark sites so i'm constantly thinking ''hmm where to look first''

I think once they got over being super excited that their stores had gone online, the deals and freebies have dropped off, I remember a few years ago, this and my other hunting site had loads of 5 off 10 spend deals and loads of money off with no minimum spend, but they know it'll cost them a fortune now everyone knows about them. I've still bought some good bargains here though, got a good ps4 game for £7 less than I could have paid second hand. Still love it here and I do love the deer hunt :)

I think a lot of effort went into Black Friday and Cyber Monday to try to pull big sales.
Plus the big retailers know they only need to put a supposedly decent price on a piece of tat branded TV and it will fly out the door.
People will even fight over their tat.

Lindt has been the best deal/glitch so far, and kudos for them honouring it.
Definitely going into a few presents, so they might get repeat sales from that.

I agree!
I also think though that there are unfortunatly too many people on here that are hesitant to post deals due to the amount of snidey sometimes nasty comments that follow.
Sometimes because someone managed to find it cheaper, or it had been posted.
Its become quite a bitter site this past year and not the friendly one it once was! :(

I don't think there are as many deals as there used to be. This time last year there were loads of DVDs on offer. This year not a great deal. Sign of the times I'm afraid.

I was thinking the same too. Had a couple of days this year where I bought a few things but last year it was much better. Had to keep convincing myself I didn't need stuff after my xmas shopping was finished but this year it's the total opposite :(
