What gauge thickness and just out of interest, what's it for? Perhaps you could fabricate your own?

Now I get it... http://www.blandyuk.co.uk/imgs/homer_doh.gif

Biscuit tins are about the size you are looking for. Couldn't you go and buy yourself a big tin of biscuits and eat them all to get the empty box. :D
#7
if it's gonna be cut up, why do u need a box? won't a few sheets of metal do? ;)
#8
i guess metal sheets could do but i want a nice clean box shape!

when i say cut up, it will have a circle cut out of it on the side and a L shaped bracket put on the side to mount it.

The metal doesnt need to be thick.

Basically the box will have a cold feed pipe into it and the idea of the box is to keep hot air out :D

Ok im willing to accept idea of cheap sheet alloy if someone can give me a good way of joining the peices that will look good and last well.

thanks guys

Are you gonna be the first killer ferret blasted into space ?

LOL

and the little round hole he's cutting into the box is his porthole to see the stars!??!
If he wants to keep hot air out...maybe he's flying into the sun!? Madness!!

I know! Is it one of those 'it's not easy being green' kinda things?

Anyway, I like the biscuit tin idea, will that not work?
#15
it may work....but biscuit tins arent really a square are they...there kinda flattened. ill need a link to an appropriate tin.... this could work out one exspensive tin! plus i wanted to buy 3 of them incase i make a mistake....im gonna look a little greedy lol

Plus i got to keep my figure in shape for my space mission :D
#16
well, those tiny paws will be handy for all that intricate metalwork...

what about something like this: toolstation.com
#17
almost perfect....just the size :(

told ya this wasnt gonna be any easy one. By way those are type of prices im looking for too! :D
#18
here>>>Argos.co.uk ???

or: green metal box...you might need that one...

last one, heals.co.uk

your size is too odd to find...
#19
you can have some karma for that.... im sure i can work with one of them!

erm how you give karma :D
#20
looks like you found it right...? under my name?
#21
I went to space once, I soon came back.... there was no atmosphere !

If all else fails Ferret, you could possible use the kiddies tinned lunch boxes that are sold in Tesco's or sainsburys' maybe - good luck !
#22
possibly a petrol container or fuel tank may do? What about a quick trip to a local scrap or breakers yard, you may hit lucky with something there, although I doub't you'll find 3 identical things!
