My young persons railcard ran out last year.
With me and my girlfirend working miles apart it was reallt handy, as i could just hop on a train an not worry about the cost.
The past few months havn't been to bad, I've been booking tickets with GNER about 10 days in advance and been getting ticket from York to Glasgow about £11 each way, which is a lot cheaper than driving. However these tickets have been imposible to find lately.
I've been looking on the young persons rail card website and it say you can apply for a card on the phone.
Does anyone know how this work, could I tell a little white lie and say I'm a couple of years younger and get a new railcard? I'd get away with it this year, as the grey hairs are a coming!
Also I could get one if I was a full time student, I could sign up to college and drop of on the 1st day?
Any advice would be great :)http://www.youngpersons-railcard.co.uk/
