Zin Radio - under 2 Meg, Radio Garden 15 Meg. There is a reason for this, and it will kill your battery life compared to zin radio that is also ad free and zin radio has no in-app purchases and zin radio does not have the 8 permissions that you have to give Radio Garden, zin radio does not ask for permission to look inside your mobile or request free access to private parts of your mobile.

When you install Radio Garden you give the app and its developer "FULL NETWORK ACCESS" and your GPS location. That is like running a computer with no anti virus & letting anyone look inside your hard drive as well as telling everyone in the world where you live. (edited)

Super lightweight and does the job greatly, recommended. Using it daily.

Excellent, can get the bbc radio stations, will be useful for the 6 nations games when they're next played

What would you like from the app to make it high reputation ? Just comment in google playstore and the app maker will improve or add what you would like.

Is this better than Tune In?

Deezer has a free radio app, excellent experience with it.

Zin Radio is brilliant, fast, no hit on resources, easy to use. Love it. 🌞🙃🌞

Try it or have both on your mobile. If you want no ads, no hassle, no pop ups, a very quick install as using a tiny amount of memory, very little battery drain and you dont want to hand over your mobile phone permissions then zin radio is the way to go, but there is nothing stopping you having both installed and tried out on the same station, then you can decide.

Its all free to use and hopefully will keep everyone in the loop in these difficult times.

Its still here and better than ever with new radio channels added just by asking Zin Radio.

I'm using ad funded version of VR tuner (Android) on a tablet. It's a regular radio tuner app with a twist, instant or scheduled recording! And can export MP3 recordings to your Google drive to listen to on other devices eg an iPhone. Been using it to be able to listen to Nicky Horne whose programme timing clashes with the busiest part of the working day.
