To celebrate the last episode of season one of The Grand Tour, we're giving UK fans the opportunity to win one of the three giant heads of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May (the “Giant Heads”). The Giant Heads will be placed in the winner's garden or outdoor space for two weeks, and the winner will also receive an Amazon Echo, a Fire TV stick and a “The Grand Tour” t-shirt. The three winners will be selected by an Amazon Prime Video panel (the “Competition”).
To enter for a chance to win, all entrants ("Entrants") should share via Twitter a photo of the site in their own garden/yard/field/plot where they would put a Giant Head, using the hashtag #GiveMeHeads. Entrants must use the hashtag #GiveMeHeads in their tweet to be considered for entry. Tweets that do not use the hashtag will not be considered. Replies that do not use the hashtag will not be considered.
The Competition starts at 12:00 GMT on Thursday 26 January 2017 and closes at 23:59 GMT on Sunday 29 January 2017.
Each photograph submitted must be the original creation of the Entrant, must feature a plot of land owned by the Entrant and must be suitable for family viewing on a national news network, meet the content guidelines found at http://www.amazon.co.uk/contentguidelines,
and meet other reasonable community standards. The plot of land will be subject to a site survey.
Entrants must be over 18, UK residents and own their own plot of land for the Giant Head to be installed on.
No purchase required. Entrants are not required to be customers of Amazon.
This Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (“UK”) excluding (a) anyone connected in a professional capacity with the Competition and that person’s immediate family members, and (b) employees and contractors of Amazon Instant Video Limited ("Amazon") and its affiliates and of the Prize Provider (defined below). Entrants must be aged 18 years or older and must own their own plot of land which has sufficient space to accommodate a Giant Head and is easily accessible (the “Site”). Entrants are not required to be customers of Amazon.
Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, any amendments to them (both of which can be viewed here), and the decisions of Amazon, which are final and binding in all respects. Amazon reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant from the Competition if, in its sole judgement, the Entrant has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of the Competition, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Amazon, the Competition, or any other Entrant.
OPENING/CLOSING DATE & TIME
The Competition opens on Thursday 26 January 2017 at 12:00 GMT and closes at 23.59 GMT on Sunday 29 January 2017 (the “Competition Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Competition entrants (“Entrants”) should share, via Twitter, a photo of the location in their Site that they would put a Giant Head, using the hashtag #GiveMeHeads. Only one Entry allowed per Twitter account.
Each photo submitted must: (a) be the original creation of the Entrant; (b) feature the Entrant’s Site, (c) be suitable for family viewing on a national news network; (d) meet the content guidelines found at www.amazon.co.uk/contentguidelines; and (e) meet other reasonable community standards.
The Entrant must use the hashtag #GiveMeHeads in their tweet to be considered for entry. Tweets that do not use the hashtag will not be considered. Replies that do not use the hashtag will not be considered.
There are three main prizes (the “Main Prize”), which consist of the following elements only:
• installation of one of the three giant sculptures of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May’s heads (the “Giant Heads”) at the Main Prize winner’s Site for a two week period only, subject to a site survey (“Head Installation”);
• Amazon Echo Multimedia Speaker with Voice Control;
• Amazon Fire TV stick; and
• “The Grand Tour” promotional t-shirt.
The Giant Heads are extremely large sculptures and are for display purposes only, they are not intended to be climbed on or used by children. Installation of a Giant Head at the Main Prize winner’s Site will be subject to a site survey. Amazon will arrange for a Giant Head to be installed at the Site, but the Giant Head should not be moved or tampered with once installed. For Entrants’ information, the inexact dimensions of each Giant Head are as follows (a) Jeremy Clarkson: height - 2400mm, width - 1540mm and depth - 1825mm; (b) Richard Hammond: height - 2280mm, width - 1610mm and depth - 1865mm and (c) James May: height - 2400mm, width - 1850mm, depth - 1940mm.
Main Prize winners acknowledge that the Giant Heads remain at all times the property of Amazon, and agree that they will not, and will take reasonable measures to ensure that any third party does not, deface or damage the Giant Heads while they are on the Site.
There are twenty five runner up prizes of a “The Grand Tour” promotional t-shirt and an Amazon Fire TV stick (“Runner Up Prize”).
On 31st January 2017, each qualified Entry will be judged and rated by a panel of judges from Amazon Instant Video Limited in order to choose three Main Prize winners and twenty-five Runner Up Prize winners (together “the Winners”).
The Winners will be selected by the judges based on the following criteria:
(a) originality of content and how interesting and appropriate the proposed Site is; and (b) quality of the image (collectively, the “Judging Criteria”).
The judges will decide which Giant Head is awarded to which Main Prize Winner.
The Winners will be notified via direct message on Twitter, to the Twitter handle from which the Entry was submitted, within 48 hours of the end of the Competition Period (“Notification”). The winner will have 48 hours from Amazon sending the Notification to respond to Amazon and confirm acceptance of the Prize. Absent such timely response and acceptance, the winner will have no further claim to the Prize, and Amazon will be free to choose a substitute winner to award the Prize to.
If a selected winner (or any substitute winner) is ineligible, cannot be reached, or fails to claim the Prize within 48 hours of notification, that winner (or substitute winner) will forfeit the Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner. If, having attempted to contact a winner and a substitute winner, Amazon is unable to award a Prize, Amazon reserves the right to consider the Prize unclaimed.
Due to the size of the Giant Heads they are not suitable for all locations. As a result, once the Main Prize winners have been selected and prior to the installation of a Giant Head, Amazon will arrange for a site survey to take place to determine whether it is possible and safe to install a Giant Head at the winner’s Site. In the event that the site survey determines that the Site of a Main Prize winner is not suitable for the installation of the Giant Head that winner will forfeit the Head Installation element of the Main Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner. For the avoidance of doubt, the original Main Prize winner will still be given an Amazon Echo speaker, Fire TV stick and The Grand Tour promotional t-shirt (as described above).
This process is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Non-winners will not be notified. The name of the Winners and their county of residence will be provided on receipt of a written request sent to Amazon Instant Video Limited within 30 days of the end of the Competition Period.
By entering the Competition you consent to Amazon passing your details to any relevant third party for the purpose of contacting you in the event you are a winner in connection with your Prize.
By accepting the Prize, Entrants consent to the use of their name, county of residence, likeness, photographs of their Site and/or Prize information for promotional and other purposes without further payment, except where prohibited by law. A winner may be required to participate in Amazon's reasonable marketing and promotional activities; by entering into the Competition you consent to participate in such activities. Please note that any photos provided by Entrants may be posted on the Amazon UK Facebook page and/or on the Amazon UK Twitter feed. By accepting the Main Prize, Entrants consent to Amazon or associated third parties accessing the Main Prize winner’s Site in order to (a) deliver, install, dismantle or remove the Giant Head; or (b) take photographs or video footage of the Giant Head on the site for promotional purposes.
