Here we go again! After taking a short break in January we are going to return to running a monthly post-based promotion. What this means is that everyone can win if they's our way of acknowledging the effort and contribution members make to this site. This month we are giving away a free 128mb USB Flash Drive or 128mb SD Card to any member who posts 25 new deals in the Hot Deals forum or 40 new freebies/offers in the Freebie and Competition forums. READ THE FINE PRINT BELOW!

FINE PRINT: This promotion will run until the end of February. To count as a new post the deal or freebie must not have been posted before on this forum. Duplicate posts will operate on a 3 strike system, make 3 duplicate posts and you will be ineligible for the promo. A deal is generally considered to be substantially lower than any price found on Kelkoo/Pricegrabber/Dealtime or notable discount codes. Post eligibility is subject to Mods discretion. There is a maximum of 10 eligible competition posts and a maximum of 5 posts will be eligible from each day. Posts will be counted and prizes mailed at the end of the month. HotUKDeals reserves the right to replace the stated prize with a prize of equal or better value. The promotion is available to UK residents only.
Some members have lost out on their promo gift because they abused this promo. If your posts are nonsense, spam, etc. we reserve the right to delete them from the post tally count (and the board). We will have no mercy with this rule. Contribute! Love us and we'll love you :)

Can you confirm in total only 10 of the 40 freebies/offers posts can be competitions and only 5 posts be they freebies, competitions or alternatively Deals count each day.

Also there can be no mixture of deals and freebie/comp posts to count towards totals. :)

Sorry for the questions I obviously desearved an 'E' grade in a recent verbal reasoning test. :)

10 comps + 30 freebies in one month is going to be hard :)
so if you post 25 freebies or offers genuinely in the month of february you get a free usb stick?

I believe if you go for the freebie/comp quota you will need 40, of whiich I think only 10 can be competitions? Finding 40 freebies is very, very difficult. Deals seems the better option :?

The 25 post count is if you want to post deals.

Still haven't received my December prono gift yet, but as previously mentioned 'patience is a virtue'.
Competitions are easier to find, that's why only ten from the total count would qualify with another thirty from the Freebies section.

Freebies are harder to find, so that's why that amount has been set to thirty, it's an incentive to find more freebies.

The above two must total forty posts at least, which could be all freebie posts but not all competition posts.

It's also very difficult to find genuine new deals, so twenty five is a reasonable amount to expect to be awarded the incentive from posts in the Hot Deals forum.

In any forum, only five posts per day will be counted towards either of the total posts.
Thanks for clearing that up.

I have made a few mistakes over the last few days and posted some duplicates - very annoying especially as I posted them after I had already posted 5 new freebies that day so they wouldn't have counted against my total anyway. :(
Oh well only one more strike left, I will have to be especially carefull. :)

added 9/2/05: That is the one problem with the 3 strikes and your out rule. Now if I do 5 posts I am more reluctant to post more on that day because they may be duplicates, even though I use the full search facility every time and do my best to avoid them. :!:
