I wouldn't say pointless - just because it's a larger version of another piece of technology, doesn't mean it's pointless. The DSi XL is not pointless, just because it has a bigger screen than the DSi.

In my opinion, the only way to make your mind up on this device is to actually use one for a minute or two. Stephen Fry (an intelligent, knowledgable technology veteran whose opinion I very much respect) praises this device; he says that browsing the web on it is an experience like no other.

Let's not turn this into another iPad-bashing thread. It's a good piece of kit.

I always find entering Sun competitions annoying, when entering a comp answer it prompts you to "Please log in or register before completing the competition", so you click on 'OK' button and it navigates to 'My Sun' page where there appear to be two log in areas, a tab top right which expands when you click 'log in' button, and a main log in area for existing members.
* If you use the top right log in tab it seem to rquire you to enter details twice before it confirms with "Welcome Bikermatt".
* If you use the main log in area for existing members, another log in area appears on the r/h side of the 'MY Sun Today" page that opens. When you enter your details again it confirms with "Welcome Bikermatt" as with other method

Once logged in (by either method) if you then navigate away fom this page( to comp page) it appears to log you out because when you enter comp it gives you the same prompt as before "Please log in or register before completing the competition".
After logging in, and right clicking link to comps page so that it opens in new window and window where logged in to "My Sun" remains open, doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference either.

If you log in on the specific competition page via the top right tab(twice), then hit the CLICK HERE TO ENTER link, enter answer on page that pops up it still prompts you to log in regardless.

In short: wherever you log in (twice), as soon as you click any link it appears to log you out.
Does anyone else have these sort of issues or is it just me?

It's not just you.

I logged in eventually and it took me to the homepage. Clicked on "All comps" and it took me to.... a single jpg image of a villa. Went back and tried again, and the same.

They're not too clever at the Sun, are they? :-D
