A fabulous break in the Lake District & stay at two luxurious hotels and take part in the Jennings A
Heres a chance to win a three-night break in the Lake District in August that will allow you to explore one of the most beautiful areas of Cumbria, follow some wonderful walks, stay in superb accommodation and attend an outstanding concert.

The prize is based around one of the Jennings Adventure Ale Trails, a series of six walking routes with something for all abilities put together by traditional Cumbria brewer Jennings.

Our winner and a guest will spend the first night (August 8) at the Lodore Falls Hotel, next to the beautiful waterfall of the same name. The hotel is built from traditional Lakeland slate and stands in 40 acres of lovely gardens by the lakeside. It has great leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, gym, sauna, squash and tennis courts.

That evening, our winner and guest will attend the Menuhin Concert performed by the highly regarded Lake District Summer Music Academy String Ensemble. This elegant event is part of the Lake District Summer Music Festival, which attracts international-standard classical musicians.

The next day, there is the option to walk along the Borrowdale Adventure Ale Trail, exploring the dramatic landscapes of Derwentwater and Thirlmere. You will stay overnight at the Kings Head Hotel & Inn at the foot of the mighty Helvellyn. This 17th-century former coaching inn is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. The following day, you can walk back to the Lodore Falls Hotel (or use your car or other transport) for another nights stay.

Accommodation at both hotels is on a B&B basis but both have exceptional dining facilities, with menus making imaginative use of fresh local produce. In each location, there will be the chance to refresh with a foaming pint of golden Jennings Cumberland Ale.

The Jennings Ale Trails are two-, three- and four-day walks starting from towns and villages throughout Cumbria and a new online route accommodation booking system makes it easy to find the best pubs with Jennings ales on tap.
