Win a gourmet weekend in London
FROZEN food expert Birds Eye is offering CityLife visitors the chance to win a gourmet weekend for two in London, including first class travel, two nights at a top hotel, a champagne breakfast, £200 spending money, dinner at a five-star restaurant with champagne and wine - and a cooking lesson with celebrity chef James Tanner.
With 12 million households binning good food straight from the freezer every year, Birds Eye and James Tanner have teamed up to help you understand your freezer better - and enjoy delicious, nutritious food - without the waste.
A whopping 85% of people underestimate how long food can safely be frozen for; and a third bin good food because they dont know whats in their freezer.
Quick tips such as sticking a list of food on the door, or keeping your freezer at minus 18°C, can mean less waste and more pennies in your pocket. And because freezing locks in freshness and nutrition, theres another reason to stop binning good food from the freezer.
These ideas will be among many offered by chef James Tanner in a cooking lesson in London on the weekend of May 23.
However, if the winner is unable to attend on this date, they can still enjoy the trip - including travel, two nights at The Cumberland Hotel, champagne breakfast, spending money and five-star dinner - at any time within six months of the competition's closure.
